We are a Guinean company on a mission to share the finest unrefined shea butter with the world while uplifting the communities that produce it.

Discover Excera's Story
Excera was founded to unlock the potential of Guinea’s abundant shea forests in a sustainable, socially responsible way. Over 40% of Guinea is covered by wild shea trees, yet this resource was largely untapped. Seeing an opportunity to benefit both global customers and local villagers, our founder established Excera to bridge that gap. We blend tradition and innovation – building on generations of local know-how in shea butter making, while adhering to international organic standards. Our core values guide everything we do, from harvest to export, ensuring we remain true to our mission of quality, integrity, and community empowerment.
Quality and Authenticity
We produce high quality, unrefined shea butter using traditional methods and strict quality control, ensuring a pure and authentic product every time.
Organic
Certified organic, our shea butter is made without chemicals in pesticide-free zones. We pay fair prices to producers, guaranteeing ethical sourcing and transparency.
Community Empowerment
Social impact is at the heart of Excera. We focus on creating jobs and improving livelihoods in rural Guinea, especially for women collectors and processors.
Our Shea Butter

Our shea butter stands out for its exceptional quality and purity. Thanks to Guinea’s unique climate, the nuts we source have an unusually high oil content – up to 75%, compared to about 50% in other West African regions. This means our butter is exceptionally rich and creamy, packed with natural vitamins and moisturizing fatty acids. It has a higher stearin content, giving it a slightly firmer texture and long shelf life, which is ideal for premium cosmetics and skincare formulations.
We take pride that our shea butter is 100% organic certified. From tree to jar, every step meets stringent organic standards, and every purchase directly benefits the rural women who handpick and process the nuts. Our product is unrefined, retaining its natural ivory color and nutty aroma – a true testament to its purity. We maintain full traceability in our supply chain, so you can trust that each batch is sustainably harvested, quality-tested, and handled with care. Whether you are a natural cosmetics brand or a specialty distributor, Excera’s shea butter offers the consistency, safety, and ethical sourcing that your business and customers demand.
Community Empowerment

Shea butter is often nicknamed “women’s gold” in West Africa due to its golden color and the vital income it provides for women. At Excera, we ensure this “gold” truly enriches the communities behind it. We partner with women-led cooperatives in rural Guinea, creating steady jobs beyond the traditional farming season. In the villages where we operate, women who once had no income outside of rainy-season agriculture can now earn money year-round through shea nut collection and butter production. This additional income has empowered them to start the planting season with confidence and invest in their families’ futures. Many mothers can now afford to send their children to school – a change reflected in rising school enrollment rates in our partner communities.
The impact goes beyond economics. With fair wages and training, women gain pride and financial independence, and young people see new opportunities in their hometowns. We also reinvest in community initiatives: providing school supplies for children, supporting healthcare needs, and even caring for orphans in each village. By choosing Excera’s shea butter, you’re not just buying a product – you’re supporting a grassroots movement that improves lives. Empowering women and strengthening rural communities isn’t a side effect of our business; it’s the very purpose of it.
